• Share the church florist bill with the wedding party scheduled before or after you.

• Have the ceremony and reception at the same place.  Not only will you save on one rental fee, your guests will be able to move easily.

• Have your wedding on a weeknight.  Friday nights are becoming more popular, besides you have the weekend to recover.  If you insist on a weekend, have it in the day instead.

• Try to have a brunch or afternoon tea instead of planning for a lunch or dinner.

• Have your wedding cake do double duty as dessert. You could have a mile high cream puff concoction prettily dressed up with fresh flowers and ribbons.

• Use a professional photographer only for formal or portrait shots and get a friend who’s a photo buff to take candid shots for that day. Better still, have disposable cameras on reception tables for guests and budding photographers.
